Description

Chemicals, engineering, and constructionare at the heart of NSL. The company,which was formerly in the steel business,divides its operations into three units. The largest segment makes construction productsincluding precast concrete and premix mortar. The chemicals division makes lime products and providesenvironmental services. NSL's engineering division is one of the largest manufacturers of container spreaders, which areused to position shipping containers. NSL is active in eight countries in Asia the Middle Eastand Europe. The companyshifted focus after Tata Steel purchased its steel operations in 2005. NSL was founded in the early 1960s to support Singapore's nation-building efforts.
