Safety-Kleen Systems, Inc., together with its subsidiaries, provides hazardous and non-hazardous waste collection, re-refining, and recycling services to industrial and commercial customers in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. The company operates through two segments, Field Operations and Parts & Equipment Manufacturing. The Field Operations segment collects, transports, and re-refines automotive and industrial used oil. This segment also provides waste services, including collection, reprocessing, and treatment of waste solvents, coolants/antifreeze, container management, and parts cleaning; related environmental services, consulting, training, equipment, and other programs, as well as chemical management, waste stream management, equipment rentals, and other specialty services. The Parts & Equipment Manufacturing segment designs, fabricates, and resells equipment and systems to service and collect waste solvents, used oil, parts washers, spill containment, maintenance fluids, waste streams and other liquids; and distributes and sells ancillary supplies and fluids used by customers in their or our parts washing, spill containment, maintenance lubrication, or other operations. Safety-Kleen Systems, Inc. was founded in 1968 and is headquartered in Plano, Texas.
