Plains Cotton Cooperative Association
United States, Texas, Lubbock
Updated Jul 18, 2024 10:15
Description
Plainly speaking, most of the US cotton used by textile mills worldwide starts with the Plains Cotton Cooperative Association (PCCA). The farmer-owned co-op markets millions of bales annually for members in Oklahoma, Kansas, and Texas. To obtain a competitive price for their cotton, PCCA takes advantage of Telmark LP's access to The Seam, an online cotton marketplace that continually updates cotton prices, buyer data, and more. The co-op operates cotton warehouses in Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. PCCA sold its textile and apparel operations in 2014 to focus exclusively on cotton marketing and warehousing. Formed in 1953, PCCA's customers include Replay, Urban Outfitters, and Abercrombie & Fitch.
