Associated Wholesale Grocers (AWG) is one of the largest grocery wholesalers in the US and the nation's oldest grocery cooperative. AWG supplies more than 1,100 member companies and over 3,400 locations throughout some 30 states. In addition to its cooperative wholesale grocery operations, AWG also offers a variety of business services to its members, including certain real estate and supermarket development services, print and digital marketing services, health and beauty care, general merchandise, pharmaceutical products, specialty foods, and natural and organic products. AWG was founded by a group of independent grocers in 1924.
