Genesco is a leading retailer and wholesaler of branded footwear, apparel, and accessories through some 1,410 shoe and accessory stores in the US, Canada, Puerto Rico, the UK, and the Republic of Ireland. Genesco's shoe operations include Journeys, upscale Johnston & Murphy, Schuh, as well as sales of licensed brands (Levi's, G.H. Bass and Dockers footwear). It also sells wholesale footwear through various brands. Through the use of youth-oriented decor and multi-channel media, Journeys retail footwear stores target customers in the 13-to-22-year age group. Founded in 1934 as a shoe retailer, Genesco expanded overseas with the purchase of Scotland's Schuh.
