Karan Beef has 3 feedlots situated near feed sources (mainly maize) in the Heidelberg area approximately 80 km south of Johannesburg. Karan Beef sources weaner calves from all the major regions in South Africa and after a quarantine period introduce these animals into the feedlots with a strict regimen of feed, ensuring strict biosecurity protocols. Karan Beef has contracts with the leading abattoirs in South Africa for the slaughter and processing of their cattle. The Karan Beef feedlots are managed by a management and staff team with a proven operational record. Karan Beef is a privately owned company and have leading corporate governance principles in place.
