Operating through a number of subsidiary companies, Greer Industries controls assets in limestone mining, lime production, asphalt production, steel processing, newspaper publishing, tourism, and radio broadcasting. Its Greer Limestone mining operation maintains more than five million tons of quality limestone reserves, and Greer Lime Company produces a variety of high quality lime and limestone products for use in the steel, chemical, paper, water, waste water treatment, and construction industries. In addition, WVRC Media is comprised of four marketing powerhouses WVRC Audio, Metronews, WVRC Video, and WVRC Digital. Greer Industries was founded by Herbert and Agnes Greer in 1914.
