The company emerged from the merger in 2000 of the wholesalers Andreas Paulsen GmbH based in Kiel and Heinrich Harmstorf GmbH based in Lübeck, which were both founded at the beginning of the previous century. Thanks to various acquisitions, new branch openings and extensions to its warehouse and logistics center, the company has grown significantly in recent years. Today, Andreas Paulsen employs more than 500 people and is represented with 14 branches and six specialty stores in Hamburg, Schleswig-Holstein and Mecklenburg-West Pomerania.
