POH sells its products in the US through warehouse clubs (Costco), mass merchandisers (Target and Wal-Mart), department stores (Sears), and other outlets. It also distributes its products in Canada, Europe, and Japan. Founded in 1988, the company was initially funded by a grant from the National Institutes of Health. It is now a part of Royal Philips Electronics.
