It extracts high-quality limestone from its open-pit quarries and underground mines and then processes it for sale as pulverized limestone (PLS), aggregate, quicklime, hydrated lime, and lime slurry. The company has approximately 650 customers, primarily in the US. In addition to its lime operations, United States Lime & Minerals also has natural gas interests. The company was incorporated in 1950, and it generates most of its revenue from its Lime and limestone business.
