Description
COOS, founded in 2002, consists of twelve social cooperatives and social companies created between 1986 and 1998, operating in the regional territory. COOS promotes the work integration and social inclusion of disadvantaged people through social enterprises, the management and rehabilitation of important artistic, historical and landscape assets through innovative and sustainable activities, the dissemination of vocational training and support for employment, care services home support, territorial services for the elderly and disabled and rehabilitation activities for people with mental illness. Among the objectives of the cooperative there are creating employment, the promotion of professional training, the development of business activities, the development of community-based services. The company partners with the Municipality of Florence, the Local Health Authority and others to provide targeted services to the various user groups.
