Associated Materials is the parent company of several North American manufacturing and distribution operations. The company serves the needs of the contractors, remodelers, and architects through its company-owned wholesale stores and select independent distributer partners throughout the US and Canada. Operates about 10 manufacturing facilities, the company offers vinyl siding, trim and decorative accents, and metal building products, among others. Associated Materials also operates about 130 supply centers across the US and Canada under the Alside and Gentek brands. The company was founded in 1947 as Alside, an aluminum siding company. In early 2022, SVPGLOBAL completed the acquisition of Associated Materials.
