Vestre Viken Health Trust provides specialist health services to the population of Buskerud, Asker and Baerum, in addition to specialized services for Drammen, Kongsberg, Ringerike and Hallingdal. The Trust runs the hospitals Buskerud, Drammen, Kongsberg and Ringerike, specialized departments at Bærum Hospital and Asker Hospital, in addition to Vestviken Prehospital Clinic which operates throughout the counties. As many other health trusts, Vestre Viken works continuously to improve services and focus on quality and patient safety. We aim, through research and development, to increase our knowledge base and apply these findings in a better way in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Today our expertise is available to our patients, regardless of where they live in our geographic area. Still, we realize that Vestre Viken is part of a larger health system and cooperate with stakeholders both regionally and nationally in order to improve services for patients and their loved ones.
