Description
Supporting local farmers gives Blanchard Valley Farmers Cooperative (BVFC) roots and reach. Founded in 1989, BVFC has about 1,700 area members. The co-op owns more than a dozen locations, including four agronomy stations, two seasonal grain facilities, a farm and garden store, and two petroleum sites. Member-farmers benefit from the co-op's array of products and services, including seed, feed, fertilizer, grain, crop storage, crop applications, and farming equipment sales and rental. The feed store also sells mulch, birdseed, and pet supplies, as well as conducts soil testing and arranges seeding and fertilizer programs. BVFC's petroleum locations offer gasoline and home-heating oil, among several products.
