The company owns and operates about 350 new vehicle franchises from over 250 stores located in about 20 US states, predominantly in major metropolitan markets in the Sunbelt region. Its stores sell roughly 35 different new vehicle brands. The core brands of new vehicles that the company sells, representing nearly 90% of the new vehicles that it sold in 2023, are manufactured by Toyota (including Lexus), Honda, Ford, General Motors, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Stellantis, and Volkswagen (including Audi and Porsche). In addition, the company also owns and operates nearly 55 AutoNation-branded collision centers, about 20 AutoNation USA used-vehicle stores, four AutoNation-branded automotive auction operations, three parts distribution centers, and an auto finance company.
