Telecom Argentina's main business is the provision of wireless telephone services in Argentina through subsidiary Telecom Personal; it also offers cell phone service to a smaller customer base in neighboring Paraguay through a controlling stake in Núcleo. The company has about 22.5 million total wireless customers. Additionally, the company provides fixed-line telephone services to more than 4 million subscribers in northern and southern Argentina. It also offers Internet access and, for corporate clients, dedicated data lines, network colocation, and videoconferencing. The company is owned by holding company Sofora Telecomunicaciones. Milan-based Telecom Italia owns nearly 70% of Sofora.
