Description
If work slows down because tools are lacking, construction workers can go to Speedy Hire. The company rents tools and building equipment to companies, contractors, DIY consumers, the government, and utilities through some 200 outlets in the UK and Ireland. It also works with government-backed and private companies in the Middle East's infrastructure and oil and gas industries. Speedy Hire hires out access towers, generators, hydraulic cylinders and jacks, pumps, and woodworking tools, among other items. It also offers safety, equipment use, risk management, site management, and custom-designed training. With more than 1,200 pallet trucks in its fleet, the company serves approximately 54,000 customers, and has some 36,000 consumable product lines in its extended range. Founded in 1977, Speedy Hire has grown to become the UK's largest operator of tool rental locations. The UK generates about 90% of the company's revenue.
