Marubeni America is the primary US subsidiary of Japan-based manufacturing and trading company Marubeni. It is a general trading company, engaged as an intermediary, importer/exporter, facilitator or broker in various types of trade between and among business enterprises and countries. The company also acts as major financiers, investor and large scale organizers and provides many specialized services, including sales support, transportation, insurance, storage financing and leasing, engineering and construction service, and traffic and logistics planning. It trades in a broad range of commodities, agricultural goods, machinery, energy products, and natural resources for its own account, and on behalf of its clients. Marubeni America was founded in 1951.
