Intermountain Healthcare, a Utah-based, not-for-profit system of 24 hospitals, 215 clinics, a Medical Group with some 1,600 employed physicians, a health plans division called SelectHealth, and other health services. Headquartered in Salt Lake City, and providing a mix of inpatient and outpatient services, we serve the Intermountain West, including Utah, southern Idaho, and parts of Wyoming, Nevada, and Montana. The organization was founded in 1975 and is known for its successful use of shared services and electronic medical records as well as its programs to reduce health care costs and improve quality of care.
