BP Europa covers the countries Austria, Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Netherlands, Poland, and Switzerland. The BP subsidiary carries out a variety of oil and gas activities throughout seven countries, namely the operation of nearly 4,000 filling stations. It is also a leading oil refiner, with facilities that produce oil products for sale across Europe (under the BP, Aral, and Castrol brands). BP Europa was formed in 2010 when BP businesses in Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Poland merged with the former German operations, Deutsche BP; operations from a seventh country — Switzerland — were integrated in 2011.
