J & D Produce, Inc.

J & D Produce is a leading vegetable and melon grower in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. Marketing its produce under the Little Bear brand, the company harvests, packs, and ships such items as asparagus, carrots, and lettuce, along with cabbage, limes, and a variety of melons. It supplies fresh produce primarily to supermarkets, grocery stores, and other food retailers. J & D Produce was founded in the early 1980s by Jimmy Bassetti and his wife Diane.
