Eagle Materials Inc.

Eagle Materials is a leading manufacturer of heavy construction materials and light building materials in the US. The company produces ready-mix concrete, aggregates, and recycled paperboard sold to residential, commercial, and industrial construction customers throughout the US. It also produce and market other cementitious products, including slag cement and fly ash. Slag is used in concrete mix designs to improve the durability of concrete and reduce future maintenance costs. Fly ash is a by-product of a coal-fired power plant and acts as an extender of cement in concrete. Founded in 1963, Eagle Materials was spun off by homebuilder Centex Corporation in 2004.
