Oil refinery Coffeyville Resources may be located in Coffeyville, Kansas, but new parent CVR Refining is thinking, "We're not justin Kansas anymore." CVR Refining was formed by CVR Energy in September 2012 as an indirect, wholly owned subsidiary to take over its downstream operations. CVR Refining is taking ownership of the 115,000 barrels-per-day Coffeyville refinery and a 70,000 barrels-per-day refinery in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, both of which are not too far from a crude oil hub at Cushing, Oklahoma. In addition, CVR Refining will control 350 miles of pipeline, 125 oil tanker trucks, tank farms, and 6 million barrels of storage capacity. CVR Refining went public in 2013 with an offering worth $600 million.
