Xcel Energy is a major U.S. regulated electric and natural gas delivery company distributing electricity to approximately 3.8 million customers and natural gas to about 2.1 million customers in eight states through its four regulated utilities: Northern States Power Minnesota (NSP-Minnesota), Northern States Power Wisconsin (NSP-Wisconsin), the Public Service Company of Colorado (PSCo), and Southwestern Public Service (SPS). It also owns transmission and distribution lines as well as natural gas assets. Along with the utility subsidiaries, the transmission-only subsidiaries, WYCO and WGI comprise the regulated utility operations. The company's nonregulated subsidiaries include Eloigne, Capital Services, Venture Holdings, and Nicollet Project Holdings.
