Oxiteno's customers use itschemicals in products that consumers use to brighten up the look ofeverything from their homes to theirfaces.Its organic intermediate chemicals, solvents, surfactants, and specialty chemicals are used inthe manufacture of cosmetics, brake fluid, and paint among other goods. Oxitenohasthree manufacturing plants in Brazil, three in Mexico, and one in Venezuela. Nearly one third of Oxiteno's sales are made overseas in about 40 countriesthrough distributors. The company is a subsidiary ofBrazilian petrochemical pioneer Ultrapar.
