Description

Coherent (formerly known as II-VI) is a global leader in materials, networking, and lasers, is a vertically-integrated manufacturing company that develops, manufactures, and markets engineered materials, optoelectronic components and devices, and lasers for use in the industrial, communications, electronics and instrumentation markets. The company has research and development, manufacturing, sales, service, and distribution facilities worldwide. Coherent produces a wide variety of lasers, along with application-specific photonic and electronic materials and components, and deploys them in various forms, including integrated with advanced software to enable its customers. Customers include Beckman Coulter, Nikon Corporation, Aurubis AG, and Apple Inc., among others. North America is its largest market accounting for about 55% of revenue.
