USG Corporation is a market leader in wallboard and gypsum products in North America. It is a top seller of wallboard, gypsum fiberboard, and construction plaster products that are used for finishing interior walls, ceilings, and floors. The company is also a major North American supplier of building-related performance materials, ceiling grid, and acoustic tiles. Recognized brands include Sheetrock, Durock, Fiberock, and Donn. Its products are used to build some of the world's most iconic structures, such as the Freedom Tower in New York, Burj Khalifa in Dubai, and Lotte Tower in Seoul. In 1902, some 20 independent gypsum rock and plaster manufacturing companies merged to consolidate their resources and form the United States Gypsum Company.
