IMAX is one of the world's leading entertainment technology companies, specializing in technological innovations powering the presentation of some of today's most immersive entertainment experiences. The company makes and leases projection and sound systems for approximately 1,700 giant-screen IMAX theaters in about 85 countries, including some 1,560 commercial multiplex theaters, more than 10 commercial destinations and about 75 institutional locations. The company was founded in 1968. Vast majority of its revenue comes from outside of Canada.
