Jysk is a Danish multinational chain of retail stores that sells furniture, homeware, and other household goods. It was founded in 1979 by Lars Larsen, and is now run by his son, Jesper Larsen. The company has over 3,000 stores in 52 countries, and employs over 26,000 people. In 1984, Jysk opened its first store outside of Denmark, in Germany. In 1996, the company expanded into Spain, with its first store opening in Valencia. Jysk has since expanded to other parts of Spain, and now has over 90 stores in the country. Jysk is known for its low prices and its easy-to-assemble furniture. The company also offers a wide range of other household goods, including bedding, kitchenware, and bathroom accessories.
