Description
Kesko is a Finish trading sector in forerunner and operates in the grocery trade, construction and building services trade, and the car trade. The company operates in 1,800 chain stores in Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden, and Poland. Its largest division, Grocery Trade operates some 1,200 "K" food stores of a variety of formats. Kesko's building and technical trade division includes Onninen, a wholesaler of building materials to contractors, industry, infrastructure building, and retailers; and K-Rauta, Byggmakker, K-Senukai and OMA, which serve professionals and consumers. It also offers sporting goods through Intersport, Budget Sport. Keska's third division, Car Trade, sells cars and trucks from the Volkswagen Group as K-Caara. Majority of its sales were generated in Finland.
