Stora Enso is a leading provider of renewable products in packaging, biomaterials, wooden construction and paper, and one of the largest private forest owners in the world. The company also makes commercial and consumer packaging products (carton and corrugated cardboard), biomaterials (pulp and byproducts such as tall oil and turpentine), and wood products for construction as well as wood pellets for heating. It has an annual production capacity of about 5.9 million tons of chemical pulp, 1.8 million tons of paper, 5.8 million tons of board, 1.7 billion square meters of corrugated packaging, and 5.4 million cubic meters of sawn wood products, including 2.5 million cubic meters of value-added products. Stora Enso has 50/50 joint operation Veracel with Suzano in Brazil, as well as 50/50 joint operation Montel del Plata with Arauco in Uruguay. Most of the company's revenue comes from Europe.
