Originally taking root on a three-acre raspberry farm, Natural Selection Foods is a top US supplier of packaged organic salads. Also known as Earthbound Farms, it serves retailers and foodservice operators nationwide. Its more than 100 different products include organic fruits and vegetables, juice, cookies, and granola. They're sold in three-fourths of US grocery stores under the Earthbound Farm label, as well as under names such as Bellissima, Hy-Vee, and Emeril for other companies. The company sources its produce from company growers who operate more than 40,000 certified organic acres in the US, Canada, Mexico, and Chile. Founded in 1984, the food firm became part of organic dairy giant WhiteWave in 2014.
