Robert Brett & Sons' business is in the pits and it likes it that way. Known as Brett Group, the company owns several businesses involved in construction and aggregates production in the UK. It produces aggregates such as gravel, sand, and asphalt from more than 30 quarries and wharves in the East and South East of England. Its Britannia Aggregates and Volker Dredging units extract aggregates through marine dredging. Brett Group also performs excavation and earth-moving services and operates some 20 plants that can produce up to 500,000 cubic meters of ready-mix concrete annually. Founded in 1909 by Robert Brett, the company is still owned and led by the Brett family.
