The company was founded by India's leading chemical and fertilizer major the Southern Petrochemical Industries Corporation Ltd. (SPIC) and Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation Limited (TIDCO) in 1991 and commenced commercial production of Caustic Soda and Vinyl Chloride Monomer from 1997-98 onwards. Later in 2001, Polyvinyl Chloride manufacturing facility was also commissioned. MANALI PETROCHEMICALS LIMITED is headquartered in Chennai, India.
