Alcohols Market Overview in Romania
In value terms, alcohols production shrank to $ in 2018 estimated in export prices. In general, production showed a sharp curtailment. Overall, the total consumption indicated moderate growth from 2007 to 2018: its value increased at an average annual rate of +% over the last eleven-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2018 figures, consumption increased by +% against 2015 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2011 with an increase of % year-to-year. Romania consumption peaked at $ in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2018, consumption remained at a lower figure.
