Truck Market Overview in Lithuania
In value terms, truck production amounted to $5.3M in 2010 estimated in export prices. Over the period under review, truck production, however, continues to indicate a precipitous reduction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2010 with a decrease of -16.6% year-to-year. Lithuania truck production peaked at $14M in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2010, production remained at a lower figure.
The revenue of the truck market in Lithuania amounted to $107M in 2010, going up by 28% against the previous year. This figure reflects the total revenues of producers and importers (excluding logistics costs, retail marketing costs, and retailers' margins, which will be included in the final consumer price). Over the period under review, truck consumption, however, continues to indicate a dramatic setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2010 with an increase of 28% year-to-year. Lithuania truck consumption peaked at $646M in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2010, consumption failed to regain its momentum.
